As a professional award-winining singer/songwriter, I have spent over 30 years in the Australian music industry as an artist manager, publicist, booking agent, artist developer and Manager of the Contemporary Music Institute at Southern Cross University, Lismore, NSW. I have 3 songs in the Top 10 charts at number1music and am currently ranked No. 1 in Australia.

  My greatest passion besides creating music, is to help other artists develop their musical skills and see their dreams turn to reality. 

  I have opened my home-based recording studio in Cairns and am now offering songwriitng workshops to those who would like to learn or build upon their current skills.

  In this one day workshop I will teach you how to create lyrics and how to structure them into a professional radio ready song format.

In this workshop we will cover:

     * Writing lyrics 
     * Tapping into and applying emotions
     * How to tell 'the story'
     * The basics of music for guitar and piano
     * Structuring a song
     * The art of collaborating with other musicians 
     * Understanding the recording process
     * Achieving your musical goal using life coaching tools

There's the option of recording your song onto CD or mp3 on completion of the workshop.

 

The songwriting workshop is pencilled for Saturday 4th February 2017 and is designed for small groups.
